When you use LaHabit (“we,” “us,” or “our”), you trust us with some of your data. We take that seriously. This policy explains exactly what we collect and why — so you can make an informed choice about using our habit tracking app.
What We Collect
Your Account
- Google sign-up: We collect your name, email, and any other info you choose to share through your Google account.
- Apple sign-in: We collect your name and the email address Apple provides, plus anything else you choose to share.
- Email & password: We store your email and a hashed version of your password. We never see or store your actual password.
Health & Activity Data (Optional)
- We only collect your daily step count if you opt in. This powers step-based challenges and competitions inside the app.
- This is entirely your choice. If you skip it, the app works the same — you just won't see step-based features.
Analytics & Crash Reporting
Firebase Analytics
We collect anonymous usage data to understand how people use LaHabit and where we can improve. This includes:
- How often and how long you use the app
- Which screens and features you visit
- Basic device info (model, OS version)
- Your general location (country level only)
- App performance metrics
Crashlytics
When the app crashes, we collect anonymous reports so we can find and fix the problem fast. These include:
- Stack traces and error logs
- Device state at the time of the crash
- An anonymous installation ID
- OS and app version
